San Antonio B-cycle is one of the first large-scale municipal bike sharing systems in the United States. You can rent one with your credit card, ride it around and leave it at any of the bike racks throughout the city.
I think this is a pretty neat idea for a town with lots of visitors like San Antonio.

They recently started a system like that here in Tel Aviv too, such a great idea!

We saw a scheme like this when we were in Bangkok recently, a great idea that should and hopefully one day will be available in many more places.
